Patients took a sigh of relief as doctors in out patient departments (OPDs) and operation theatres of government-run hospitals resumed activities on Friday, after three-day strike against targeted killing of two of their colleagues. The doctors had gone on a strike against the murder of two senior doctors in Khudzar and Mastung on a call of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan.
All OPDs and operation theatres in government hospitals across the province remained closed creating problems for patients visiting hospitals from far-flung areas. Meanwhile, doctors across Balochistan have announced that they would hold protests and mourning against brutal murder of their colleagues in the next week.
