Adamjee to fund cataract operations on Sunday

Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) conducted nine different eye care camps in the city, during the current month, and identified more than 200 patients in urgent need of cataract removal surgery. PIMA had set screening camps at Agra Taj Colony which was visited by 650 patients with different eye related complaints and 102 were prescribed cataract removal surgery. Another 113 people reported at Bhains Colony camp and these 30 were suffering from cataract. 120 people visited Yousuf Arfani Goth camp, 65 visited the POB and PIMA eye screening camp at Pehalwan Goth and 130 were screened at the eye camp in Akhter Colony. The Hazara Colony camp was visited by 115 people and 20 of them needed the required surgical procedure as compared to 30 of the 56 people who got their eyes screened at the Mehmoodabad camp. POB ensured, free of charge screening and pledged needed medical and surgical support to the patients.
