Shahbaz sees Accountability Bill tool for corrupt people

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif Friday said Accountability Bill being introduced by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is meant to safeguard corrupt people instead of rounding them up.
Accountability Bill is a safe corridor’s permit for thieves, robbers and dacoits, he said. “The so-called Accountability Bill is as an edition of the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO)—the blackest law in the history of Pakistan.”
In case the Bill is adopted in the Parliament, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will quash it when it comes to power, Shahbaz said, adding the Bill is an attempt to push beyond accountability the irregularities committed during first four years of Musharraf-led government.
These plunderers of national exchequer will not be able to save their skin from the masses’ accountability despite the likes of bills, he added.
