Chairman, Capital Development Authority, Syed Tahir Shahbaz suspended seven employees of the civic authority, who were involved in hiring new recruits on the last day of the transfer of the former Chairman CDA, Farkhand Iqbal.
According to CDA’s sources, the former chairman had recruited 100 to 150 persons in nine months without advertising those posts in newspapers, despite a ban on recruitments. He had recruited many employees on grades 16 and 17 on daily wages, the source said, adding that on the last day of his transfer from the CDA, he recruited 18 persons.
The sources said that the former chairman had left charge of the civic authority on October 02, while notifications of the new recruitments were issued on October 03, due to which the new CDA chairman suspended Deputy DG HRD, Najma Azhar, Director, Khalil Ahmed Soomro, Deputy Director Syed Safdar Ali Shah, Assistant Director, Muhammad Ashraf, HRO Kalsoom Parveen, Assistant Muhammad Mushtaq and the diary dispatch clerk.
