A US drone on Thursday targeted a religious seminary in the Bulandkhel area of Orakzai Agency near the border with Afghanistan, killing at least 18 suspected Afghan militants, while injuring over a dozen others, including four children. It was the second US missile strike reported in as many days in the northwest tribal belt. The attack was the deadliest since similar strike in August last year killed 21 Taliban fighters in the region. According to security officials in Miranshah, headquarter of the North Waziristan Agency (NWA), the target of the strike was located near the boundaries connecting Orakzai with Afghanistan and NWA. They said the four missiles fired by the drone hit a compound and killed 16 occupants and injured over one dozen others, including four children. According to tribesmen, the compound was owned by Maulvi Shakirullah, a commander in the forces of warlord Hafiz Gul Bahadur. They said the compound was being used as a seminary to provide religious education to local children, including young militants. Maulvi Shakirullah is included amongst the killed persons. Bahadur is an ally of the Haqqani network blamed by the Americans for a string of high-profile attacks in Afghanistan. The exact identity of other persons killed in the attack could not be ascertained so far.

kindly throw light that how much effective your long march which has become reason of target killing of poor Malala only.

    • At least he made an effort. He did it for us, he did it for the people of Pakistan. I am not his avid supporter, but when he takes a stance for Pakistan we all have to back him up. At least he exhibited courage by Marching for the people who are completely disowned by this corrupt govt and have been disowned by previous Govts. He stood up for the neglected people of Waziristan. He unlike other politicians has condemned the drone strikes ever since they started. He unlike other politicians has the good of the country at heart. He unlike other politicians did not just release a statement from his palace in raiwind or Isl, he actually mobilised the people to March for a noble cause which in turn has propelled the Illegal Drone strikes by CIA to the top of International agenda. He never claimed that it will STOP the drone strikes but at least he pressing the Americans to revisit their strategy.
He is not siding with the Americans like many others.he is not accepting any money for allowing them to cause this collateral damage and then put up a farce in front of the public. He is doing what he can while not being part of the GOVT. It is the Govt's responsibility to STOP the drones, but at least he is making some honest effort to get it stopped.
Learn to appreciate those who are working for the good of our country and its people. He is only one ACTIVELY raising his voice against this barbarism.

      • This is only one part of scattered barbarism being carried out in Pakistan for last 12 years. You information regarding such protests is very poor.Like him many politicians did this kind of job including JI, fazlu, sherpao group and local people too.You might don't know that these drone affected people made one month sit on in front of parliament house but people who even claim to support them never give them such coverage which is given to him. When ever I said he did for money but surely he is doing all such useless games in favor of military establishment who is placing his team in front of USA to show it as some kind of civic revolt against USA.
Look if he would had damn serious he should hadn't left the track of NATO supply routes or same like in this regard as now this prolonged actions need stern actions of public anger to show the real picture to world. But this mummy daddy march is just a routine game in Pakistan, In south MQM does such ranga bazzi, in Punjab sharif brothers are expert of it , and in KPK religious teams are ready for such shows. so please make some other excuses for justifying his weak political games.
The malala attack was specially made just after his march.I am sure they both have some link let the time will clear its connection.
