Accountability Bill challenged in Supreme Court

New Accountability Bill has been challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
According to a private television channel, Petitioner Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi said the new Accountability Bill stands contrary to the law, Islam and the Constitution of Pakistan and hence it should be repealed.
The petitioner pleaded the court to direct Secretary National Assembly to produce before the court complete record of proceedings regarding the National Assembly debate on the Bill.
The petition seeks as respondents the federal government, the Ministry of Law and Justice, Leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Secretary Law and Justice and Secretary NA.

  1. Good….new accountability bill is more to protect corruption than to act agains it….what sort of country is this ?
