Top defense brass reiterates resolve to fight terrorism

Top security and defense chiefs reiterating the resolve to fight the menace of terrorism said Armed Forces of Pakistan are ready to render any sacrifice.
The resolve was expressed at a Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Meeting (JCSC) held here at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
According to ISPR, General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee presided over the meeting which was attended by Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Secretary Defence, Secretary Defence Production, Chief of General Staff, Director General Joint Staff, Director General Inter Services Intelligence, Director General Strategic Plans Division and senior military officers from the three services.
Issues related to Pakistan’s national security and emerging regional Geo-Strategic environment along with the progress on the agenda points of last meeting came under discussion.
Participants expressed their satisfaction over the standard of preparedness of Armed Forces to take on the upcoming challenges being faced by the country. It was reiterated that the resolve to fight the menace of terrorism will be kindred and Armed Forces of Pakistan are ready to render any sacrifice therein.
JCSC is a quarterly moot of senior military leadership to assess and evaluate the operational preparedness of the Armed Forces, and to take stock of upcoming challenges.

  2. These coward generals are big on words but short on action. They have failed every single time when they could have proved their their competence and professionalism. Under these generals, Pakistan army has become a laughing stock of the world. They need to wake up and realize that they are totally worthless.

  5. Big mistake inviting director general of the ISI to this meeting. It is the ISI that are supporting the Taliban in every way. There are lots of Taliban supporters in the ISI.
