The Department of Peadiatrics Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro in collaboration with other organization are organizing the symposium on the Theme Achieving Millennium Development Goal at a local hotel. The other departments like United Nation Children Fund, World Health Organization, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Programme,
World Food Programme, Government of Sindh and Child Welfare Trust also organizing partners.The symposium emphasis on newborns survival.
The university spokesman informed here on Wednesday that about one
thousand delegates from all over the country ar expected to participate in the symposium in which eminent peadiatricians, Prof. Zulifqar Bhutta, Prof. Tariq Bhutta, Prof. Sajid Maqbool, Prof. Anita Zaidi, Prof. Salma Shaikh, Prof. Yaqoob Kazi, Prof. Jamal Raza, Prof. Saifullah Jamro and Dr Samera Rizwan will talk about the common pediatric problems in Pakistan. The spokesman further informed that Dr Anro Shilakdze, Chief Field Officer UNICEF, Jean Luc Siblot, Country Director World Food Program, Abdul Rehman Pirzado, Child Adolescent Health Officer and Dr. Sahibjan Badar, Provincial Program Director, National MNCH Programme Sindh will address the inaugural session on newborn survival.
