Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan has said that Pakistan is keen to enhance its bilateral ties with Brazil in different sectors.
He was speaking at a conference titled “Brazil-Pakistan relations: challenges and opportunities” organized by Islamabad Policy Research Institute in collaboration with Embassy of Brazil in Islamabad on Wednesday.
He said “we have common and shared interest in greater South-South cooperation‚ climate change and global order.”
Ambassador of Brazil Alfredo Leoni in his remarks said 2012 is special year in which 60th anniversary of the opening of Brazilian embassy in Pakistan is being observed.
He said nine bilateral agreements have been signed between Pakistan and Brazil which will further develop relations between the two countries.
He said Brazilian government is taking a number of steps to promote relations with Pakistan.
