IGP calls for beefing up security of MNAs, MPAs

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari has called for beefing up the security of the public representatives. He directed the police officials to ensure the security of the elected representatives of the people. A police statement here on Tuesday said that the IGP instructed that all arrangements should be ensured.
Leghari directed that foolproof security be ensured at the residences and offices of the senators, MNAs and MPAs from the province of Sindh.
He instructed that under proactive policing, an eye be kept on miscreants.
The IGP said for restoring the confidence of people in the police, the community policing network be expanded to police stations level.
He stated with the cooperation of the people, the evil designs of miscreants be frustrated.
Leghari stressed that the capacity of Madadgar 15 be enhanced and that trained police personnel be deployed. He asked the people to keep an eye on suspicious persons, things, packet, parcel, bag or brief case etc or abandoned vehicle and immediately inform the police or 15. The IGP said the security measures for government, semi-government buildings, installations, noted religious and social personalities and Ulema of various schools of thought be further strengthened.

  1. Now rest of the remaining police will guard our precious MNA'S and MPA'S. What a country? They don't care if poor and innocent people are killed in streets of Karachi. MQM and PPP failed to deliver in all departments. Still they are hungry for power. MQM and PPP are responsible for all kiilings in Karachi. They are to be blame no one else.
