University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Monday announced that it will be launching the Postgraduate Diploma course in Food Safety and Controls. The admission and enrolment process has already been completed by Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. The postgraduate diploma received an over-whelming response by applicants, industry and other concerned quarters. This diploma course is part of the UVAS vision to train manpower in imperative field of food safety through realization of its role by serving as hub for knowledge generation and economic development of the country. This diploma is expected to result in strengthening of the trade capacity building process in Pakistan, thereby promoting the economic integration of Pakistan into the global and regional economies and stimulate decent work and employment creation.
