Targetted killing continues

At least four persons including a woman were killed and several others injured as target killing continued to claim innocent lives in the city on Monday.
According to details, a 27-year-old woman identified as Seema from Disco area of North Nazimabad, became victim of a stray bullet while sleeping on the roof of her house.
Body of a 25-year-old unidentified youth was recovered by police from Araam Bagh area of the city which was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem. Police said the deceased was shot to death after abduction and severe torture.
Body of another unknown man was found from North Nazimabad Block-H. Police said the body’s limbs were tied and it appeared the deceased was killed after he was abducted.
In another incident in Lyari, an unidentified man was killed from firing. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
Sacchal police, during a raid in its jurisdiction, arrested two alleged target killers identified as Jehanzeb and Irfan, recovering arms from their possession. During preliminary interrogation, the accused admitted killing several persons including a police sub-inspector.
Firing incidents continued in Awami Colony, Super Highway, North Karachi, Sohrab Goth, Lyari and other areas of Karachi injuring more than 10 persons. The injured were shifted to different hospitals of the city.
