Residence of various Pakistan Peoples Party members and ministers were targeted on Tuesday resulting in the enhancement of security for the members of the ruling party.
Earlier on Tuesday, the house of Local Bodies Minister Aghar Siraj Durrani came under attack when anonymous men hurled a grenade on to the main gate of his house in Shikarpur. The blast of the grenade destroyed the door further putting it on fire although no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
Meanwhile bombs were also recovered near the houses of Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro and MPA Mir Haji Hayat Talpur.
According to sources, information pertaining to mysterious hand bags were received by the Bomb Disposal Squad. The hand bag was lying outside the premises of Ayaz Soomro and MPA Mir Haji Hayat Talpur. After receiving the information, The BDS took immediate action and disarmed the bomb. The bomb outside the house of Soomro was also accompanied by a letter through which the Sindh Liberation Army accepted the responsibility of planting the bomb.
According to recent information, the residence of PPP MPA Imdad Pitafi was also attacked by a hand grenade. Miscreants carrying out the attack flew from the crime scene immediately after carrying out the incident.
The attacks have been linked to the newly established Local Government Ordinance, which according to the Nationalist parties, would undermine the rights of Sindh province and that the people of the province would be deprived of their legal rights as a result of the promulgation of the new LG system.
