House of Sindh Minister Agha Siraj Durrani attacked in Shikarpur

Unidentified miscreants hurled hand grenade at the residence of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Minister for Local Government Sindh, Agha Siraj Durrani here on Tuesday but no causalities were reported.
According to police, unknown miscreants threw hand grenade at the house of Agha Siraj Durrani while he was not present at his home in Shikarpur town. However, the family of the provincial minister remained safe in the incident.
Police officials said outer door of the house was partially damaged in the hand grenade attack.
Heavy contingent of police and rangers reached the scene and after cordoning off the area started hunt for the culprits.
Condemning the attack, Agha Siraj Durrani said such acts cannot prevent the PPP from serving the masses as it is a party of Shuhada. He said the attack was part of a conspiracy to prevent a rally in support of new local government system which was to be held in Garhi Yasin today.
He said the PPP will be holding a public meeting in Hyderabad on 15th October and this would prove as to whom people of Sindh support.
