Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has said that parliament is the supreme decision making body and senate is its most important part. He was speaking in the Senate on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said parliament is the supreme decision making body and senate is its most important part. He said all important issues are identified and debated in these institutions. He said government is not unaware of any issue facing the country.
He said great leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto sacrificed their lives to promote democracy in the country. He said due to their sacrifices there is a vibrant democracy in the country and the democratic institution are working at their full potential.
He said it is due to the success of this system that a person like me who belongs to middle class is the Prime Minister of the country.
The Prime Minister said most serious issue facing the country today is terrorism and we are making utmost efforts to get rid of this menace.
He paid tributes to the nation and armed forces who fought this threat with fortitude and bravery.
