47 accused arrested in last three days

The Karachi police in their on-going drive against criminals have arrested 47 accused during the past three days.
A police statement on Monday said that those arrested included three absconders and one proclaimed offender.
The statement said that there were five police encounters with the alleged criminals and four gangs of alleged criminals were busted during this period.
IGP maps out responsibilities for junior officers: Sindh Inspector General Police (IGP) Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari directed all Station House Officers (SHOs) deputed in the provincial capital to ensure security of all banks in their respective jurisdictions.
The IGP was presiding over a meeting of newly appointed Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) at the Central Police Office (CPO). The IGP directed DIGs and SSPs ensure eradication of terrorism, targeted killings, `Bhatta’ collection, murder, rape, kidnapping and black mailing from their respective jurisdictions. He also directed the DIG’s and SSP’s to supervise collection of evidence(s) in their jurisdictions.
930 liters of moonshine recovered from Hala: Excise and Taxation recovered 31 drums containing 930 litres of alcohol in two different raids.
Excise and Taxation Intelligence unit on the directive of Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla arrested Bashir Ahmed s/o Qadir Bux at Hala Naka in Hyderabad and recovered a drum containing alcohol. Bashir after interrogation led the unit to Tando Allah Yar where an intelligence team led by S.M. Sadequain raided at Wazir Compound near Sukkur Company and recovered 30 more drums containing 930 liters alcohol.
