Karachiites reject bloodshed, says Sattar

MQM Deputy Convenor Dr Farooq Sattar has said that handful miscreants cannot sabotage peace in the city. Mutahida Qaumi Movement on Sunday held a peace walk from Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim to Teen Talwar in Karachi.A large number of the citizens including women and children joined the walk. The participants were carrying banners and placards with slogans about restoration of peace in the city.Tight security arrangements were made on this occasion. Addressing the participants of the walk, Dr Farooq Sattar said Karachi’s stability is Pakistan’s stability and a small number of miscreants cannot be allowed to sabotage peace in the city. Former City Nazim Mustafa Kamal said that the MQM will foil any attempt of negative propaganda. MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said that majority of the citizens in Karachi want peace. Social personalities, Ulemas and people from different walks of life participated in the rally and appreciated MQM’s efforts for restoration of peace in Karachi.
