Challan slips to be issued on serious traffic violation: CTO Ishtiaq

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah has said that negligence on the part of traffic wardens would not be tolerated and directed them to behave with the citizens in a polite and respectful manner.
He expressed these views while addressing traffic wardens during a ceremony of commencement of Politeness week.
He directed all traffic wardens to educate and guide citizens with affection and well manner attitude regarding traffic rules and regulations which should be followed during driving on the roads.
He made it clear to the traffic wardens that citizens should not be disturbed without any reason and be asked politely to stop if they commit a traffic offence.
He said minor traffic rules violations should be ignored with all out efforts to provide relief to the citizens.
The CTO said that traffic wardens should perform their duty with dedication and commitment so that a better image of the traffic police could be created among the masses.
Ishtiaq said that no one should be spared if found involved in serious violation of traffic rules.
