16 injured in bomb explosion in Quetta

Sixteen people including four were injured in a powerful remote-control blast on Double Road area of the Quetta.
Local police said the blast took place on Zarghon road outside the office of Urban Development.
According to the reports, a bomb was apparently planted in a bicycle.
According to police sources, the explosives were rigged to a passenger wagon, adding at least four to five kilograms of explosives were used in the bombing.
Police sources said the target of the terrorists were policemen. A vendor was also among the injured. The blast damaged a motorcycle rickshaw.
The injured policeman are ASI Fateh Sher, Head constable Karim khan, Constable Abdul Ghani, Constable Bashir Ahmed while several others Boor Muhammad, Noroz Khan, Ghulam Muhammad, Abdul Majeed, Maula dad, Muhammad Ramzan, Nizam ul den, Abdul Baki, Abdul Ghani Fakhar Udeen and eleven years old Jalal Udeen and Musa sustained severe injuries in this explosion. The two injured children are stated to be in critical conditions.
On getting information the CPO Quetta Mir Zubair Mehmood including police officials and FC personals reached the spot and rushed the injured to Civil hospital.
After the blast panic spread in the area and all shops were closed down.
The bomb disposal squad claimed that 5 kg explosive material and 7 kg nut bolt was used in the bomb.
Later on, Police registered the case against unknown criminals and started thorough investigation.
Meanwhile, Zubair Mehmood said that stern action would be taken against criminals and security is being high alerted in the area that keep watch an eye on every suspect roaming in the area.
