A student of a seminary was kidnapped in the racecourse area the other day.
The father of the 14 year old kidnapped student, Muhammad Sajjad told the police that his son Omer Maaz Abne Jabal was getting education in a seminary located in the area of racecourse. He left home in the morning but did not return, he added.
He claimed that the cleric Faiz Alam had abducted his son.
Meanwhile, the inquiry officer Muhammad Riaz said that earlier Omer told a family member that he had learnt by heart 24 chapters of the Holy Quran, while he was memorizing an additional 13 chapters in the seminary.
Meanwhile, the cleric called on his father and informed him that his child had run away.
