The decision was taken in connection with ‘Salam Teachers Day’ celebrated the other day and Additional Secretary Education, Malik Mukhtar and Deputy Secretary, Qaisar Rasheed formally informed the leaders of the teachers association about the official decision.
The officials promised the teachers that they would be promoted to the vacant seats on 50 per cent quota according to the chief minister package launched every year on “Salam Teachers Day”. The education department officials had also vowed not to cancel casual leaves of the teachers and also pledged to resolve all their problems. Leaders of Punjab SES Teachers Association including Aslam Gujjar, Ishaq Rehmani and Shafiq Bhalwalia lauded the decision of the education department officials.
They said that extra duties had ruined the education system of the country, henceforth, only teaching duties would be assigned to the educators.
