OGRA unleashes another ‘petrol bomb’

In its latest use of lethal ‘petrol bombing’, OGRA has recommended an increase in petroleum products by 3.04 perliter, CNG by Rs2.50 kg while a reduction in diesel prices by Rs.2.70.
According to Media reports OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) had recommended a summary to Finance ministry regarding increase in petroleum prices.
The Finance ministry consenting to recommendations has agreed to increase the petroleum prices.
According to the new tariff, the new CNG prices for region one would increase by Rs.2.78, while those of region 2 would be increased by Rs.2.54 per kilo.
According to the newly imposed tariff, petrol would cost at Rs.105.49 per liter, kerosene oil at Rs.101.95, light diesel at Rs.96.70, while high-speed diesel would cost Rs.110.46.
The new prices would be effective after OGRA’s notification from Monday.
