Governor of Punjab Latif Khosa on Saturday accused Pakistan Muslim League-N of being involved in political and economic murder of the people of Southern Punjab.
Talking to the media at Multan airport, he said PML-N has given way to undemocratic norms and chaos in the country.
Referring to the opposition to the establishment of a Seraiki province in Southern Punjab, he said that a new province for the Seraiki people was imminent and is the right of the residents of Wasaib and they are aware of it too. He further added that the lobby of undemocratic elements will not refrain from dismembering the country for their individual benefits and added that these anti-state elements targeting the military have been welcomed by PML-N.
Answering a question on Balochistan, Khosa said that the Baloch love Pakistan and their patriotism should not be questioned. He said the PPP-led government respects all the political parties of Balochistan and invites them to resolve issues through talks.
Distributing cheques among the flood-affectees of Dera Ghazi Khan, the Khosa said that the government wants to compensate for the damages of the flood-affected population on priority basis. He directed the heads of the federal institutions to fix the problems created because of the floods as soon as possible. Latif Khosa gave special directives to the officials of Wapda to change around 400 transformers and nearly 500 single-phase meters immediately. The governor also asked the Wapda officials to recruit personnel on immediate basis giving preference to the local residents.
