FIA arrests fake officers flying to Oslo

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two fake officers who were illegally attempting to fly to Oslo, Norway. Sources said two men hailing from Gujrat, namely Murtaza and Ahmed Ali, boarded Pakistan International Airlines’ flight numbered 771 on a blue passport. When they reached the immigration counter, the officials noticed that their documents were dubious. They were posing as officials from Ministry of Information. When contacted, the ministry said that no such officers were going to Oslo. Subsequently, FIA Inspectors Shahid Nawaz and Gulzar Ahmed arrested the two men and started investigations, confiscating their documents. Travel agent Haji Qadeer was also arrested for his alleged involvement in the matter.
Bid to smuggle 9 kg heroin foiled at BB International Airport: Customs officials foiled a bid to smuggle 9 kilogrammes of heroin worth millions of rupees to Belgium and Abu Dhabi, arresting two smugglers at Benazir Bhutto International Airport. According to airport authorities, during luggage checking of passengers boarding flight EY232 of Etihad Airways to Belgium via Abu Dhabi, a total of 9 kilogrammes of heroin packed in several 20-gram packets was found from hidden pockets of a bag belonging to Mehr Ali Shah who was immediately taken into custody.
