At least five persons were killed and several others injured in fresh spate of target killing and violence in the city on Saturday. The police and rangers during separate search operations and raids arrested six accused and recovered arms from their possession.
According to details, the first incident took place in Ranchore Line area of city where unknown armed men gunned down one person. The dead body was shifted to hospital where identity of the deceased was yet to be confirmed.
Unidentified miscreants shot at and killed a man in Sheerin Jinnah Colony. In another incident of violence, a man named Fida was gunned down in Landhi area of Karachi.
In Gulbahar area, unidentified gunmen shot dead a man. The deceased was identified as Atif.
The police recovered mutilated body of an unknown woman from Kemari area.
Firing incidents continued in different areas of the city including Lyari, Shah Faisal Colony, Quaidabad and Sohrab Goth during with eight persons were reported injured. The injured were shifted different hospitals of concerned areas.
Meanwhile, the police and rangers during separate search operations in different areas of the city arrested six accused including a target killer and recovered arms from their possession.
