Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced the schedule for closure of CNG stations for the current week.
A news release issued by SSGC here on Thursday said that all CNG stations in Sindh will remain close for 48 hours from 9 am on Friday (October 5) till 9 am on Sunday (October 7).
This step has been taken by the gas utility to improve the line pack position all over Sindh, which has been badly disturbed due to curtailed gas supply from different gas fields, causing deterioration of line pack position that has resulted in low pressure in SSGC’s system.
All CNG associations, dealers and gas stations owners are informed that SSGC’s monitoring teams will be strictly checking the stations during this 48 hours closure period. The CNG stations found operative during this period, will have their gas supply disconnected that will not be restored for another 24 hours beyond the closure period.
SSGC realizes that while the CNG users are faced with an adverse situation, the company is taking all actions to ensure uninterrupted gas supply at a stable pressure. SSGC is hopeful that through this shut down, it would be in a better position for supplying gas to all stake holders during the coming week, it added.
