The Health Department on Thursday issued promotion orders of five assistant professors to the post of associate professor in Grade-19. These promotions have been made on current charge basis. Those who have been promoted as associate professors include Dr Arif Zaheer of PGMI Lahore, Dr Najaf Masood from Rawalpindi Medical College, Dr SM Javed Iqbal of King Edward Medical University, Dr Muhammad Yasin Alvi of Services Institute of Medical Sciences Lahore and Dr Ghulam Mustafa of Children Hospital Multan. The Health Department has also issued posting orders of these doctors at the institutions where they are already working.
