Roots National Institute of Teachers Training and Education (RNITTE) held a two day workshop, aimed at capacity and skill building of faculty members and the related staff of Roots School System (RSS), which ended on Wednesday. The training was held under the Qualifications, Curriculum & Assessments Programme (QCAP 2012-13) of RSS.
The program had been specifically structured to enhance leadership capacities. Training was conducted by leaders of Roots Millennium Schools, who had been associated with the system for over five years. Q-Cap was structured to start the new academic session with passion and enthusiasm and to review RSS’s curriculum guidelines and policies.
The program aimed to make Roots Millennium School teachers specialists in modern teaching methods and to define their roles as leaders to enable them to take responsibility of their respective domains. The training faculty used their qualifications, subject expertise and field-based experience to create new knowledge and enduring concepts that shaped practices of teachers’ education, as well as personal and professional development. RNITTE invited many guest speakers for the motivational and informative session. Professor Rizwan Taj, Head of Psychiatry PIMS Islamabad, addressed the audience regarding stress management on the first day of the workshop.
