The power load shedding on Wednesday continued to increase with the shortfall reaching to 3,331 megawatts. According to a National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) official, electricity generation currently stands at 13,070mw against the demand of 16,401mw. Last week, electricity shortfall remained 2000mw. However, the current shortfall stands at 3,331 megawatts. Electricity generation was reportedly reduced due to low fuel supply to power plants. In urban areas electricity duration has reached 7 hours a day and 11 hours of load shedding is being carried out in rural areas.
