The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Wednesday expressed remarkable generosity by making electricity cheaper by 5 paisas per unit.
According to a notification issued by NEPRA, the electricity price has been reduced under fuel adjustment for the month of August. However, the consumers of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) were exempted from the notification, and would not be able to reap the benefits of this reduction. This surprise relief in electricity prices has come for the first time in the last two years.
