Give up Sadiq or we know the hard way, Sana tells Khosa

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday warned that the Punjab government would order the police to enter the Governor’s House and arrest former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chief Tauqir Sadiq in case the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) does not hand him over.
“According to our information, Tauqir Sadiq is present in the Governor House,” he told reporters.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered immediate arrest of the former OGRA chief, who faces allegations of massive misappropriations during his tenure in the office. Officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) told the court that they had searched for Sadiq at all locations known to them, and according to their information, the absconding official was staying in Lahore. Reportedly, Sadiq is a close relative of PPP General Secretary Jahangir Badar. On the other hand, the Governor’s House dismissed Sanaullah’s remarks as baseless. In a statement, the governor said that such remarks “have only exposed the face of the provincial government”.
