Germany shows interest for investment

The German Counsel would fund 14 Sindh government infrastructure projects in the metropolis. Federal Republic of Germany,Consul General of the Tilo Klinner announced the grant at the German Counulate during a ceremony marking the anniversary of German Unity. Klinner said that it was his desire to see Karachi regain the status of “the City of Lights”. He envisioned a bright future future for Pakistan sighting the pool of human capital in the country. He said that the German government intends to invest in alternative energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan. Klinner said that German reunification was a unique achievement not only for Europe but the European Union as well. He said that despite the debt crisis looming large over the horizon, EU would sail out of the troubled waters united.
Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khuhro who was chief guest on the occasion and addressing the gathering he said that “Pakistan has a great regard for the Germany nation and Pakistan can gain by collaboration with Germany in production and service industries. He lauded the interest shown by Germany in developing infrastructure in Pakistan.
Police band played National Anthem of both countries and the ceremony was attemnded by government officers and resident diplomats of Karachi.
