Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) former chief executive officer, Zia Latif on Wednesday challenged the suspension of his appointment before a division bench of the Lahore High Court.
The division bench headed by LHC Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial issued notice to respondent LESCO SE Ateeq Ahmad Khan for October 4 and sought reply.
Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel submitted that an LHC single bench on September 28 suspended notification for appointment of CEO LESCO Zia Latif on a co-warranto writ moved by the respondent LESCO SE Ateeq Ahmad.
The counsel contended that the order was illegal and with out jurisdiction. The petitioners pleaded the court to strike down the order.
The bench, issuing a notice for October 4, sought reply from the respondent.
