Wednesday saw another spurt of robbers in different parts of the city. According to details, three robbers managed to enter the house of Muhammad Humayun, resident of Aurangzeb Block Garden Town, and held him and his family hostage.
They took gold, thousands of rupees in cash, mobile phones and other valuables at gunpoint and managed to escape.
Another robbery took place in the house of Mrs. Hameeda Toor, resident of B-1 Township. According to reports, she was accosted by robbers as she was entering her house.
They took 4 tolas of gold, her mobile phone and escaped.
In a separate incident, robbers injured a citizen named Muhammad Zameer on offering resistance in the area of Ghalib Market. Zameer was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, two robbers robbed Sadiq Chaudary and took Rs 2000 cash and his ATM card in the area of Green Town at gunpoint and escaped.
Police reached the crime scene and gathered evidences for further investigation and filed FIRs against the unknown persons.
