Four police officials were injured and at least four militants were killed in Peshawar’s neighbouring Matni area on Wednesday. According to sources, the militants attacked a security checkpost and a police station in Matani, injuring four officials, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI). The security forces retaliated, killing four militants An armoured personnel carrier of the security forces was also damaged in the attack. All injured were taken to Lady Reading Hospital.
