Working women and girl students living and working in Sectors G-6 and G-7 have expressed grave concern over the immoral activities of motorcyclists on 7th avenue overhead bridge.
According to the working women, this was the only overhead bridge which was a safe passage for pedestrians for crossing the 7th avenue, but it had been made impassable by the morally deprived youths who continued to occupy this bridge throughout the day. “Whenever we try to cross it, they start hurling vulgar remarks towards us,” said a group of girl students.
“Our offices are located in G-7 sector and we have to reach there by crossing this bridge, but the youths riding on motorcyclists start chasing us even on the bridge which is only meant for pedestrians,” said a group of working women. Residents of the areas demanded a crackdown against the youths involved in immoral activities on 7th avenue overhead bridge and threatened to block the 7th Avenue of their demands were not met.
