Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Chief Talal Bugti on Tuesday said that former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf was liable to death in accordance with Islam and democracy. Following his meeting with the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) at Mansura, Talal Bugti highlighted the need of a grand alliance of democratic forces before the general elections. He said he also invited JI, who assured him that they were considering his proposal. Addressing a joint press conference along with the Jamhoori Watan party leader Nawabzada Talal Bugti at Mansoora, the JI chief saluted Talal Bugti’s services for the country’s solidarity and unity, and urged all national and provincial level parties to enter into a grand alliance for safeguarding national solidarity and the implementation of Supreme Court orders. Talal Bugti also asked the media to come to take the lead without any fear in promoting the idea of a grand alliance, which was the need of the hour, especially in Balochistan, where tortured bodies were found and the democratic forces being destroyed. JI Chief Amir Munawwar Hassan said that India was meddling in Balochistan, US intentions were clear, and said that all Pakistanis should demonstrate unity against these forces. He also urged all the political parties to get together on one agenda; the recovery of the missing persons. Munawwar Hassan said that the government was harboring terrorists in the name of reconciliation for the last five years.
