Farkhand Iqbal has refused to relinquish the office of chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) despite the induction of a new chairman by the prime minister.
The prime minister had issued orders for replacing Chairman CDA Farkhand Iqbal and all members of the board, and the authority was also notified in this regard. However Farkhand blatantly refused to quit his office and discharge his duties on Tuesday. He had inducted over 25 officials in various posts. He had also directed the HRD section to issue notifications of these appointments within a day. Sources revealed that Farkhand had issued orders related to important files. They said that his retaining the office, despite the prime minister’s orders was illegal and his subordinates should not comply with his orders.
