Woman among three dead in city

Three people were reported killed in different areas of Karachi as violence continued on Monday, media reports confirmed.
Police said a man was gunned down and another injured when unknown armed men opened fire on them at G-3 bus stop in Baldia Town area.
A man Sabir, 50, was also shot dead in Liaqatabad.
Police said dead body of an elderly woman was recovered from a house in Landhi’s Muzaffar colony, adding that she might have consumed some poisonous substance.
IGP for effective security during Expo Pakistan 2012: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP), Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari reviewed the security plan for “Expo Pakistan 2012” scheduled from October 4-7 in the metropolis.
The police would provide security cover to foreign delegates, diplomats government officers, businessmen and people hailing from various segments of the society. The IGP directed all district and town police officers to put their forces on alert.
Patrolling snap checking and picketing were increased in the city. The venue of Expo Pakistan would be cleared by bomb squads on all four days.
