Security has been ramped up across the city after explosives were recovered from the office District Police Officer (DPO) in the city on Tuesday.
A landmine was planted outside the DPO office a month back, which was successfully defused. Following the incident, the security has been beefed up around the police office.
DPO Attock Hilal Khan said the miscreants responsible for installing the device, have been traced and they will soon be in the police custody.
All vehicles moving into or out of the city’s sensitive area, are being thoroughly checked with no permission for the commoners to roam about the area.
The city police appealed to the people to cooperate so that the protection of life and property of citizens, could be ensured.
