‘PPP slaughtered Sindhis with SPLGO’

Sindh Assembly Leader of the Opposition Jam Madad Ali protested against the approval of Sindh People’s Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO) 2012.
Jam Ali said that the ordinance was tool for the slaughter of masses in Sindh. He said that “those who beg votes in the name of their martyred have slaughtered the people of Sindh. Enforcement of this ordinance is worse than enforcement of Ayoub Khan’s One Unit,.” Jam Ali, was elected as MPA from the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) At least a dozen members from PML-F, Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Muslim League- Quaid e Azam (PML-Q) staged a sit, in front Speaker Nisar Khohro’s rostrum.
Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro tabled the ordinance in the house which was passed in the assembly with a majority vote. However opposition benches tore the copies the ordinance.
Jam Ali said that “we urged the government to withdraw this ordinance and present it in the house as a bill, but our demand was rejected. This is the demand of people of Sindh who want a uniform local body system from Karachi to Kashmore. It’s a betrayal with Sindh and we all have been slaughtered”.
