Former prime minister Zafarullah Jamali has said that the ongoing consultation and meetings between leaders of opposition political parties with Baloch nationalists is only a political game and not a struggle to resolve Balochistan issue.
Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Zafarullah Jamali said that meetings of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hassan and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was part of preparation for next general polls and each political party is making efforts to gain maximum benefits utilizing the other.
He said that Baluchistan issue was being politicized for getting attention and sympathies of masses of the province and no single political party is sincere to resolve the issue.
The former prime minister was of the view that reservations of Baloch people and leadership must be resolved before general elections and political leadership has least time to cope with the issue and they would have to put their utmost efforts for the purpose if they really want to end the miseries of Baloch people.
Jamali said that Baloch leader Akhtar Mengal has declared that election was not his priority but he wanted to calm the people of his province and get their inborn and constitutional rights for them.
He criticized the sitting leadership for not paying any heed towards problems faced by Baluchistan and its people and said that government would be responsible in case of any untoward occurrence.

  1. Baat tu suuch hay magar Baat hay raswai kee
Why he didn't realize the depth of this grave issue when he was blue boy of Musharraf.
same old hypocrite trying to speak truth in powerless state.

  2. He himself is also part of the game. He should have talked only when he had a history of working for the masses of Balochistan during his tenure as prime minister of Pakistan. It was rather the most criticized President Musharraf who worked for the Baloch Nation in a manner that was benifitting the common baloch masses. As a matter of reality the issue of Balochistan is made by the intelligence agencies of our rival India and is exagerated by our politicians thus promoting the aim of India. On ground realities of Balochistan has only one problem and that is the education and economic uplift of Baloch and Pushtoons living in Balochistan. I pray from Allah that our politicians learn the essence of politics and start delivering to the people rather than getting involved in any thing to further their rule and thus earn more and more which is the right of common poor and suffering majority of Pakistan.

  3. Zafarullah Jamali is an opportunist. With no support in Baluchistan, Musharraf made him PM. He is a bank defaulter with the ZTBP. He is not considered a Baluch by the people of that province. He is basically a blackmailer who usurped the rights of his cousins the sons of Mir Jafar Khan Jamali. The man made millions through his son who was his tout. He should shut up and get lost.

  4. Jlamali sb had his chace of resolving the Baluchistan issue when he was PM. now he is powerless and isolated. He should now retire and relax.

  5. All so-called Baluch leaders are responsible for the mess in Baluchistan….all one of the other served with one of the other in govt n hv been recipient of state royalty of milions but did nothing to resolve the issues of their people n then put the blame on to the Army…..hypocrite bunch….they shud take lesson from the untimely death of Sh Mujeeb….how he was killed by his own people ? Bcz he gave nothing to his people but Indian hegemony…these Baluch leaders are further exploited by the politicians for their own vested interest…..
