Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Shafqat Mahmood has urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of misappropriation of state resources by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif for political purposes.
He elaborated that Sharif distributed cheques of Rs 200,000 each to victims of Gayari landslide and announced Rs 200,000 for the flood victims in Tehsil Jaffarabad, Balochistan.
“While no one can object to relief being provided to affected families, a question does arise regarding the money Sharif is distributing. Is it his personal money? Is he parting with a miniscule part of the vast Sharif fortune? Or is this PML-N money?” he questioned.
“On any of these counts no one can object,” said Mahmood, “but if Mr Sharif is distributing my money – because Punjab government’s money belongs to me too as a citizen of the province – he has no right to do so and I strongly object. He has no position in the Punjab government and by law is not authorised to go around doling out state money.”
The secretary also said if Sharif really was using Punjab government’s money for politics, it amounted to pre-election rigging and it was unacceptable.
Mahmood requested the chief election commissioner to take notice of political parties in government that were using state resources for political expediency.
This is the rubbish statement from the spokeman of PTI.Does PTI not see how the PPP government is misusing the blood earnings of poor people of the poor nation.Why PTI is ytrying to get fake papularity by issuing such cheap statement,PTI ought to share hands to decrease the problems of poor nation.but PTI is going and adopting negative roll,which at any cost is not good for the country.All the senior and tried runners have joined PTI,but they are not serving for them.PTI must play positive politics and give up CHILDISH roll as it shows its fall of poor mantality and rubbish roll in the politics of Pakistan.PML N is going on the fine way,Alhado lillah and its opponents are cricising for nothing.PMLN is a national party and they know and realize its obligations
My brother, there is no objection on helping effected people. We all are Pakistanis and we should strerch ourselves for such noble causes. However, the point made by PTI has the weight. These are hard earned funds for the development of our Punjab province and should not be squander this way. Now what development they have brought ? Have they addressed the basic health and education facilities in the province, which could do wonders in the last 4 years or so in enhancing the living standards of the people, insted they spent 9 billion rupees on game shows in youth festival and 60 billions on a road in Lahore. People do not have anything to eat and wear and they are squandering hard earned funds for their personal popularities ? Kindly make them understand and ask them to use such funds for the better lives of people. Growth rate of Punjab is lesser than the Pakistan. Ask them to think prudently.
