Govt making all-out efforts to raise living standard of Baloch people: PM

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Monday said Balochistan was one of the top most priorities of his government and he was taking personal interest in raising the standard of living of the people of the province.
Talking to Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani, who called him at the Prime Minister’s House, Ashraf reiterated that he had directed all federal agencies to cooperate with the provincial administration in tracing the missing persons. He said he had directed the Balochistan chief secretary to comply with the orders of eth Supreme Court in its true letter and spirit.
He said the federal government was eager to develop the province and had approved a special package for the purpose, adding that the Ministry of Finance had been directed to release all requisite funds for the completion of the ongoing projects in Balochistan on a priority basis.
Ashraf said he had ordered the release of Rs 6 billion for the completion of Kachhi Canal on which the work was now being taken up on a fast-track basis.
He said the early completion of all these projects and the employment of the Baloch youth would help bring prosperity to the area.
The chief minister thanked the prime minister for the support of the federal government and the personal interest of the prime minister in the development of the province.

  1. For the past 4 1/2 years Messrs. Zardari, ex-PM Gillani, Rehman Malik, Kaira and now PM Raja Rental have been sprouting verbal bandages to 'deal' with the problems of Balochistan.
    To quote from Shakespeare's Macbeth: "it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".

They never visit in baluchistan any districts except quetta once and never any single project lauch there and if you want to travel Karachi to any where to balochistan like naal,wadh,mangochar awaran sabzaap and Panjgur to turbat and from turbat to Gawadar and you visibly the living standard of poor baloch and I assume position would not be different in chaman ,loralai qilla saifulla etc they should (Govt) be shamed giving that sort of statements and civil society,print media should visits these districts/cities never the less the balochistan peoples have any ecpectation from these puppits.God bless Balochistan
