The Supreme Court (SC) Monday rejected the report submitted by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over filing of a reference against the appointment of chairman of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
According to details, a three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case regarding the appointment of Tauqir Sadiq.
During hearing the chief justice remarked that the NAB does not need to undertake any sort of investigations in the wake of judicial order.
However, the NAB’s prosecutor general said the bureau abides by the NAB Ordinance. The hearing has been adjourned till Tuesday.
