Target killing claims 6 more lives in Karachi

At least six more people were gunned down in target killing incidents in Karachi.
According to details, Deputy Superintendent of Malir Jail, Abdul Razzaq and Assistant Superintendent of Juvenile Jail, Pir Masood, were gunned down at University Road when they were going to attend a marriage. Some unidentified gunmen opened fire their car as a result both the jail officials died on the spot.
Police have found 9mm pistol bullet casings from the spot. Police initially have termed it a target killing incident. Provincial minister Ayyaz Soomro visited Jinnah Hospital and condoled with the bereaved families.
In another incident of target killing in New Karachi Allah Wali, some unidentified miscreants opened fire and killed a man and wounded two others. The deceased was identified as Ijaz while the injured were identified as 25-year-old Kashif s/o Mazhar and Kashif s/o Naseer.
Meanwhile, Rangers launched a targeted operation in Hijrat Colony during night between Saturday and Sunday and arrested an alleged target killer Hamid along with his two accomplices. Police have also recovered arms from their possession.
