Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has not cancelled any flights to the Europe and United Kingdom (UK)
A spokesman of PIA said that operations at Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Manchester airports have not been cancelled. He said that all flight operations to and from the American continent use Manchester as stopover and there was no question of calling off PIA operations at Manchester airport. He said that rumors about PIA closing its operations on electronic and print media damaged the sales of the National Flag Carrier and increased the sales of competitor airlines on the same routes in the last one week. He said that PIA authorities were conduction a cost benefit analysis of different routes; however it has not called off operations on any routes so far.
The Airline plans to reduce traffic on loss making routes and deploy more aircraft on profit making routes. PIA plans to make the operations of all 38 aircrafts operating on international routes profitable.
PIA’s winter schedule would take effect on October 27 and the airline has started aggressive marketing in Europe, UK, USA and Canada.
