No military operation going on in Balochistan: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that no army operation was being conducted in Balochistan, adding that everyone should abstain from playing the blame game.
Addressing a news conference here on Sunday, Malik said that the government was serious in resolving the issue of missing persons in Balochistan.
Responding to a question, he said that people should not malign the army, adding that foreign elements were involved in the unrest of the province. He said that everyone knows that conspiracies being made to segregate Balochistan.
The Interior Minister said he will forward his Senate speech to Akhtar Megal, saying that he will ask him why he didn’t arrest those who were responsible for his brother’s killers.
The minister said that Mengal six points were actually complain not points. He said that he would reply the allegations of Akther Mengal.
Malik asked Mengal that was there no Frontier Constabulary (FC) in the province when he was minister? Current government has done all work which was need of the time, he said, added that, Pakistan People’s Party had done everything for democracy.
He appealed not to defame Pak Army as it was our own army. All the parties should sit together to resolve the country’s issue instead of showing politics on the issue.
He said that government wants to bring back all angered Baloch leader into the country. There was an elected government in Balochistan, he stated.
Replying a question regarding his appearance in the Supreme Court in contempt of court case, he said “I must appear before the Supreme Court on October 3.”
