Cases against Future Concern: government officers summoned

The Lahore High Court on Friday summoned secretary interior, DG Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and SSP (operations) for October 1, on petitions against an immigration consultant company owner who is allegedly involved in swindling money from people on account of sending them abroad.
Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi passed orders on 15 petitions filed by various petitioners against Asim Malik, owner of Future Concern Limited.
Earlier, Asim Malik’s counsel presenting a medical certificate submitted that his client was ill and therefore, be excused from appearing in court. The court terming the medical certificate as unsatisfactory summoned the doctor who issued the certificate on the next date of hearing. The FIA officials told the court that investigation officer Jawad Quershi had been placed at Punjab government’s disposal after being transferred and Khadim Hussain Bhatti had been appointed as the new investigation officer for the matter.
