The missing building plan of the Central Jail Adiala has been recovered after a year.
Sources said that owing to possible terrorist attacks and threats, the Special Branch Rawalpindi, in its report, had recommended the Punjab government to make strict security arrangements and necessary construction in Adiala Jail a year back.
When the construction firm asked the jail administration to provide a building plan to carryout construction in this regard, the authorities failed to provide the plan, saying that they did not have it.
Later a concerned department of the Punjab government, Public Works Department (PWD), was written a letter to provide the concerned plan.
PWD officers upon failure to present the building plan submitted an application at the Westridge Police Station regarding the missing building plan of Adiala Jail. The matter was referred to ASI Shoukat of Naseerabad Choki and the issue was being investigated.
A high ranking officer of PWD informed police officials the other day, of the recovery of the missing building plan of Adiala Jail.
